Hartley Financial and Tax & Wealth have joined AGS Financial Group.

The client advisory businesses Hartley Financial and Tax & Wealth have joined AGS Financial Group effective 15 September 2026. The same advisers, brokers and accountants continue, now backed by a larger, integrated team.

After building the business over more than three decades, our founder David Hartley has decided the time is right to step back from ownership and pass the baton to Paul Bolstad and the team at AGS. Many of our clients have been part of the Hartley Financial story for years, some since the 1990s, and helping you create, maintain and protect your financial future has always been at the heart of what we do.

We are confident that AGS is the right fit for our clients and our team. Paul and his colleagues share the values that have guided Hartley Financial for so long, and their broader resources and expertise will build on the strong foundations we have established, while keeping the personal, client-focused approach you have always known.

What this means for you

While ownership is changing, it will largely be business as usual. Many of your existing contacts remain the same, and David will continue to be involved and available to help where needed.

• Our tax and accounting work continues under Greg’s leadership, now backed by a larger, highly capable team.
• Our mortgage broking team, including Wendy, Angela and Andrew, continues to provide the same dedicated service.
• For financial advice clients, Chris Behringer continues to look after you, now as an Authorised Representative of Akumin Financial Planning Pty Limited (AFS Licence No. 232706). Clients who have primarily worked with David will transition to Chris, with David working closely alongside him to ensure a smooth handover.
• We are also pleased that Isabel Hartley is returning part-time following her maternity leave.

For most clients, there is nothing you need to do. Your existing arrangements continue, and the team will contact you directly if anything is needed.

We also thank Sue Norman and Jean Jones, who are retiring after many dedicated years with the business. We wish them both every happiness ahead.
